There are many Nigerian female singers some you would find on our beautiful list of  famous Nigerian female celebrities that are still single.

These are power ladies, in the sense that they are achievers and consequently influencers of public opinion.

In this time and age in our country’s history these ladies can make a difference with their collective voices.

She is in a class of her own and her aura, speaks of a woman that once played the role of a story teller, selling her tales to those who dare to listen.

She could easily be categorized into One of the finest female singer to have come out of Nigeria.

2. Simi

When i first heard her voice, i knew she was sent to melt our hearts with her soft love stories. She started her career as a gospel singer, releasing her debut studio album in 2008, titled Ogaju.

But somewhere,somehow decided that telling us love stories was better than pouring worship rendition to the most high through church songs alone. I guess she realized that it is through the human emotion of love that one can really touch the heart of God.

Now she is pouring those Afro-Pop love songs and we just cant get enough. Simi is a blessing to the Nigerian Music Industry.

3. Tiwa Savage

She is the most famous of all the Nigerian celebrities mentioned on this post. Not because she is the most talented but simply because she is fortunate enough to have the right connect and the right singles that a lot of Nigerians can relate to.

She started with some of the big male names that we have today under the same Record Label and so shared with them success of that period.

Her debut studio album Once Upon a Time was released on 3 July 2013.

4. Yemi Alade

Of all the Nigerian Female Singers Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage are the only ones that seem to carry a silent rivalry. One trying to outdo the other on that race for the crown of Queen Of The Dance Hall.

But Yemi Alade is more consistent when it comes to pouring out constant dance hall tunes. Obviously all of her songs were primarily designed to make people dance.

But that does not mean she is the person to wear the crown because Tiwa Savage is known for quality over quantity and is responsible for many dance hall national anthems in the country.

5. Seyi Shay

There is a foreign feel to her songs.

She was the lead singer for the now defunct pop girl group From Above. The group got signed to  Sony’s Columbia Records and was managed by Mathew Knowles’ Music World Entertainment company.

Shay released her debut studio album Seyi or Shay in November 2015.

6. Chidinma

Chidinma Ekile rise to stardom came after winning the third season of Project Fame West Africa.

She was announced the winner on 26 September 2010. And was given ₦2.5 million, a 2011 Toyota RAV4, and a production deal.

She became the first female musician to peak at number 1 on the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 chart with her music video  “Emi Ni Baller” .

Do not let the look confuse you. That is Teni the entertainer and i kid you not when i say she is actively famous as a Nigerian female singer.

She is new on the scene and has released singles in recent times that has seen her become quite popular in the country and beyond.

Teni started gaining prominence after releasing the single “Fargin” in September 2017.

10. Niyola

Now that is the face of a lady who gave us good songs and visuals to go with them when there very few female singers in the country that could provide such quality.

On May 22, 2013, she released the single “Toh Bad“, her first release under the  Empire Mates Entertainment by Banky W. That song would make really popular.

11. Mo’Cheddah

She use to be very much around when it comes to song making but these days, it would seem that she is on a long hiatus because of some fear of the industry.

She released her debut studio album, Franchise Celebrity (2010), while signed to Knighthouse Entertainment.

According to reports gathered from an interview she granted, she actually had to battle depression due to the hostility and hate she experienced in the music industry.

Is that why nobody is hearing from her musically.

We hope she comes back soon. We miss her kind of music.

The real dance hall Queen. Who just woke one day and decided that she was going to starve Nigerians and with that decision came her very long long absence.
